I just love visiting this beautiful quirky little fishing village On the north yorkshire coast, lots to look at, lovely little houses and narrow streets that all lead to a pub at the end called the Cod and Lobster, take in the fishing boats in the harbour, walk along the beach, sit and have a picnic, browse the little shops that have great gifts for all. I painted this scene as I loved the setting sun that was just on top of the rooftops and the harbour wall, I loved the warm tones and the calmness of the sea, peaceful and tranquil Staithes.
