You will know this view of the Beehive Hotel if you live or have ever visited Newcastle Upon Tyne, This beautiful street with a pub at the end. Very iconic place and very well known with the locals. I wanted to paint this pub with the sun shining on the other side of the street and putting the beehive in shadow. I think it worked really well leading your eye from the pub down the street and then back again to finish off your pint. It just sums up your dad, grandad or partner, having a pint on match day and then heading off for his tea before his wife starts wondering where he is. great memories
